Logitech claims that the cordless MX Revolution is the world’s most advanced mouse, and they may have a point. It’s got a laser sensor for ultra-sensitivity, it’s contoured to fit right into the palm of your right hand (sorry lefties), has two scroll wheels and extra function buttons. But the killer feature here is in the top scroll wheel: simply depress the scroll button to unlock it from click-scrolling, and it’ll scroll freely and at high speed, which is perfect for those long documents or tricky gaming manoeuvres.

Pro:
- Wireless, sturdy and ergonomic
- Fast scrolling is great
Con:
- Right-hand design only

What’s better than a large USB flash memory drive? A large USB flash memory drive in the shape of a Star Wars character, of course. We got our hands on a 2 gigabyte drive in the shape of a stormtrooper, but you can use your drive for rebel secrets, too. The problem is that the funky design makes it less svelte than most other drives, which can make it hard to plug in next to another USB device. Comes with a mini zip-up jacket that doubles as a keychain connector. Available in Stormtrooper, R2D2, Darth Vader and Chewbacca versions. (Courtesy of our friends at ThinkGeek.com)
Mimobot Designer USB Flash Drive

Pro:
- Fun for Star Wars fans
- comes with protective jacket
Con:
- thick bezel too big to fit comfortably next to other USB plugs
- expensive for the capacity
- producer Matt will try to steal it

So you think the PSP is just for games, huh? Well, why not turn it into your very own beatbox? Traxxpad:Portable Studio is a virtual drum machine that you can use to sequence short drum and percussion loops, to play live, and to play pre-saved sequences on the fly. It takes a bit of work getting used to the interface (figuring out how to switch modes can be a bit unintuitive if you don’t have the instructions right in front of you) and the button layout of the PSP isn’t ideal for this purpose, but you can certainly create your own killer beats with the Traxxpad.

Pro:
- ability to program your own beats
- play back various sequences with the touch of a button
Con:
- interface difficult to learn

You probably already know the name Dremel from its multifunction cutting and shaping tools, but now the company is using its torque capabilities to drive things forward…like a power screwdriver, that is. The Dremel Driver is a mini power screwdriver with a drill-shaped form factor that fits right into the palm of your hand (unlike those massive power drills. It comes with a recharge station that has little divots The rechargeable lithium ion battery is built right into the handle, which means once this dies you’ll have to replace the whole thing or do some surgery on the handle. In the meantime, though, it’s got the torque to do the job, and the 8 included driver bits handle a variety of popular screw heads.

Kids have had the ability to gross each other out for many many centuries, but the EyeClops “bionic eye” takes it to a whole new level. The EyeClops is a handheld 200x magnifier with a built-in light, allowing you to get extreme closeups on a wide variety of items — the other end plugs directly into the composite connector of your TV. The upside is that the quality is pretty excellent. The downside is that you have to be within a few feet of your TV to see the results. Thankfully it comes with a small container that kids can use to bring gross things indoors without getting them all over the carpet.
Pro:
- great magnification
- good for hours of fun
Con:
- focus ring difficult to master
- requires proximity to TV

What the title suggests. Today in history with an admitted Canadian slant. Interesting events, people, birthdays, and some surprises.
At present, you get EVERYTHING for the day. The developer is working on a ‘mini’ screen with just a few events, with an option to see everything. Unfortunately, because of anomalies between IE and Firefox this is taking a bit longer than planned. It will be available soon though. So yes, at present this app does eat up a lot of real-estate.
