Can you run Vista an Ubuntu on the same computer both on the same hard drive ?

There are two ways to do this. You can create separate partitions on the same hard drive for each operating system (Ubuntu can do this for you automatically) or you can use a virtual machine to run Ubuntu from within Windows. VMWare can do this or try Wubi, www.wubi-installer.org - it’s free.
