I like to watch football when I cook. The TV cable outlet is quite a ways from the kitchen. Without having to run cable under carpet (or down the stairs!) across the house or fish cable through the walls from upstairs, is there a way to wirelessly transmit reception from the main digital cable box to a small under cabinet or countertop TV where you can just change the channel on the TV using the remote? I understand that without a “box” the number of channels would be limited.

You may want to check out the Belkin PureAV RemoteTV solution — you place a box next to your home theatre setup in the main room, and then place the receiver next to the TV in the remote room. You can then bring your remote control with you into the other room and send the signals back through the RemoteTV boxes.
