My question is that everytime i open up AOL explorer or Internet explorer 3–5 pop up ads just appear out of nowhere. I know that its not the website but something else. Is there anyway i could get rid of these things because its really annoying it always interrupting internet activities.

Uh oh, you have spyware…it doesn’t matter if it’s AOL Explorer…it’s vulnerable to the same things that Internet Explorer is vulnerable to, which means that if you installed a dancing cursor, or some other free application over the internet, you’ll be infected…and unfortunately they can be very hard to get out. You can try removing them using the usual anti-spyware alternatives—Microsoft Defender (www.microsoft.com/defender), Ad-Aware (www.lavasoft.de) and Spybot Search&Destroy (www.safer-networking.org) but chances are you’ll have to wipe your hard drive clean and reinstall Windows again. You can check out the resources at SpywareInfo.com — there are a number of forums, information on programs you can use to try to cleans your machine, and other resources. Be prepared to set a weekend aside for a complete reinstall, however.
