Windows Vista

I am currently thinking of upgrading to Windows Vista, but past experience tells me differently. Microsoft is notorious for releasing software that has some major glitches for the first 6 months after release. My question is: is it really worth upgrading from XP home to Vista now, or am i not going to miss much if i stay put for the next few months?

Vista is considerably more secure than XP, but at this point we don’t recommend upgrading an existing XP installation. There are too many hardware and software incompatibilities.

While there’s certainly some shiny eye candy in Windows Vista, there’s certainly not enough in it for most users to justify risking messing up their system with an ill-advised upgrade. Wait until at least SP1 until you upgrade, but if you’re buying a new computer, don’t hesitate to get one Vista.
