  • Stitching photos together with Photoshop CS3.
    Founder, Pixel Corps

SEGMENT OVERVIEW and Web Ready Material
Many times we see a scene that just won’t fit into our camera! Many times, large, beautiful, panoramas need a few snaps to capture. But how do we bring these together into one photo? Fortunately, Photoshop CS3 provides an incredible tool to stitch these photos together. “Photomerge” takes a series of photos and aligns them. Once lined up, it blends the photos to hide the edges…and it does this very effectively.

There’s not too much to this tip, you simply load the photos into Photoshop and select the Photo Merge (File: Automate: Photo Merge). Photoshop will do the rest! It’s quick and painless.

The real key is how you shoot it. I use the focus tools in my viewfinder to insure I keep the horizon level and in the same place. Also, find an exposure that works and turn the camera to manual controls to make sure the images are even. This, along with 25–30% overlap is all you really need.
