Running Ubuntu Linux on my home PC has ran into some issues. For some reason, it will be as if my framerate dropped to next to nothing. Music will freeze up, IM programs will do the same. I can still type, but only after about 5 seconds does it show anything, sometimes longer. It also does this on the Login screen, so it can’t be my Gnome GUI. I have tried to reformat and reinstall, but nothing changed. What could be the source of the problem?
