Episode #38

Macbook Primary Display

Hello The Lab! I have an iMac Core Duo and Macbook. On occassion I connect these machines to additional monitors to expand my screen real estate. The problem is, I want to make my external monitor as my primary screen (have the tool bar, etc). Many Thanks

Good news! This is easier than it looks: Go to the Apple menu and choose System Preferences. Choose the Displays option, then click on the Arrangement tab — you’ll see your multiple displays, and how they’re positioned in relation to each other. Look closer and you’ll also see that your primary display has a white bar on the top of it…to change which display is your primary, simply grab that bar and move it to the other monitor! Done!
