I have exhausted all the possibilities and thought I would try you. I have tried to install the latest version of Shockwave Player on both my laptop and desktop computers. Both run XP Pro SP2. The desktop version works ok but the laptop does not. Everytime I go to a site with a shockwave item, it installs the product over agian but never works! I have tried uninstalling, etc. etc. to no avail. I suspect there is a setting somewhere but have compared to teh dektop and all appears the same! Hope you can help! John
