Fixing Stuck Pixels

Just after 3 months of operation, one of the pixels on my “new” LCD monitor decided to rebel. First it stayed on as white then after a few weeks it decided to remain black. Is there a way turning this pixel back to normal or am I stuck with it till I replace the monitor? I am concerned that this just might be the beginning of more to come. Pixels can get stuck on LCDs. There are several things you can try to unstick them, but it may be permanent, too. Fortunately it’s not necessarily a symptom of a coming failure - just a broken pixel.

Some folks recommend very gently massaging the spot. Be careful though because this can cause additional damage. Sometimes turning the pixel on and off rapidly can fix this. Jscreenfix does this.
