Is there a way to use the captions made in Picasa in another program when making a DVD/CD

Fortunately Picasa uses an industry wide standard to store captions and keywords: IPTC. This is an extension to the EXIF data and is stored within the picture file. If you use a program which understands IPTC tags it should pick up the captions just fine. (IPTC tags are for JPEGs only, however, so make sure you export JPEGS only.)

Getting your kids to learn math, spelling, and a variety of other academic skills is a very noble goal, and it’s always easier to get them to participate with the help of a famous character from a movie. On the other hand, Darth Vader may not be the most cutesy character and you’d worry that kids might turn to the dark side if they’re learning from a Sith Master. Still, this is a lot of fun for younger kids. Older kids may find the audio cues a bit repetitive though.
