Analog Tuners in Vista

I recently got the Windows Vista Home Premium Edition and I own an all in wonder video card. Is the analog tuner card not going to be suppported in Vista? Is Ati going to provide a driver and is it true that the all in wonder cards are history?

There are conflicting stories as to whether the All-in-Wonder’s tuner cards will work under Windows Vista — some users swear that they’ve gotten them to work, but according to AMD, there are currently no software packages available that will allow All-in-Wonder tuner components to be used within Vista. I’d take AMD at their word here — if they’re saying it’s not possible, there’s a good chance that even if it IS somehow possible to hack it, you may not be able to with your current configuration. If you believe the notice on the AMD site however (http://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894) there may be hope that a driver will become available…just don’t hold your breath.

As for whether or not the company is planning to discontinue the entirety of the All-in-Wonder lineup, there have been rumblings about this for years, and I won’t believe it until I see it. At present, only a few of the older models appear on the official discontinued products list: http://ati.amd.com/products/discontinued.html
