Hey Leo, I have an old CRT monitor and a brand new Dell and I wanted to upgrade my monitor and my tiny 13″ TV. I saw these LCD TV’s with a PC input and started wondering if you could use it as both. So I could have a nice 20″ screen for my PC and for TV use. So is there a button on the remote to switch between the PC and TV, like the buttons on the usual TV remote (TV, VCR, SAT, etc.)? I’m not that close to any electronics store, so that’s why I came to you, but mostly because I trust you more.

Yep - Dell sells monitors with TV and PC inputs. You can switch with onscreen controls. Gateway sells them, too, as do many other manufacturers. I particularly like the Dell 24″ monitors for this purpose. My Gateway came with a remote you could use to switch the input on the monitor.

iPod transmitters for the card generally have one main problem — they make you take your eyes off the road when you want to change tracks. The DLO TuneStik attempts to change that by breaking the product into two modules — the transmitter pack attaches to the bottom of your iPod, like normal, while there’s a separate remote control that straps onto your steering wheel. It does manage to keep your eyes closer to the road when you want to change tracks or adjust the volume, but if you’re not careful it may interfere with your steering, especially if the velcro strap that attaches the remote to the steering wheel is a bit loose.
