Hi Gang, I have a JVC mini digital vidio camera. Recently I went to England, taking with me a tape taken locally (hoping to get it transfered to PAL over there). There were problems,as I found out later, after taking my cousins wedding. I was told it would be better to have it done after I returned home. Question,can I get these tapes transfered to PAL system DVD’s Yours, hopefuly Derek PS how do I get G4 Tech TV?

You should be able to choose between NTSC (the video format found in North America) and PAL (the video format found in much of the rest of the world) when your open up a new DVD project. Because your video will be captured in NTSC, it will take some time to transcode the video files to PAL—it has to change the number of lines in the picture, as well as the refresh rate—but it should be possible. If for some reason the DVD movie burning software you have on your system doesn’t support this, you should be able to find DVD authoring software for around $100 (or less) that gives you the option.
