Kate Milberry is a social justice activists and doctoral candidate at Simon Fraser University. She became involved in activism as the co-founder of ROOM magazine, an alternative newsweekly that she edited for seven years in Windsor, Ontario. Since moving to academia, she has pursued her activism by studying and documenting the newest social movements. She has been particularly interested in tech activists, geeks who develop the software and maintain the digital infrastructure of the global justice movement. Most recently she has been investigating wikis, following the evolution of the technology and the community around it.
